Save the Date: Run With Cuore Italia At The “Martian Mission” – 13 September, Milan

July 17, 2018

Join the team at Cuore Italia on the 13th of September at 6.30 PM near the Fountain of Piazza Castello in Milan to run or walk at the “Martian Mission” for Cuore Italia, as part of the celebrations for the European Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day.

Heart valve diseases affect over 1 million of Italians and its prevalence increases with age, in fact, over 10% of people over 65 years are affected by valve disease. Despite the different heart valve diseases being widespread, awareness is low and is something we are hoping to draw attention to with our upcoming awareness day events. We want to encourage the Italian public to have their hearts checked regularly and our activities will focus around the theme, “Listen to my Heart” which encourages people to have ask their doctors for stethoscope examinations.

To celebrate the European Heart Valve Disease Awareness Day in Italy, the “Listen to my heart” information and awareness campaign starts with the “Martian Mission” for #CuoreItalia, a real live performance organised by I-Marziani, an Italian non-profit organisation that carries out social projects through «running» performances, in the streets of Milan.

You are all invited! We are encouraging any runners and walkers to join us for a nice stroll or leisurely run in the centre of Milan.

All runners will be supplied with fantastic t-shirts from Cuore Italia featuring the “LISTEN TO MY HEART” slogan which will be distributed at the meeting point.
